Michael Wilson B.Sc. LL.B.
Michael Wilson is a litigation and family law lawyer. He has appeared in numerous courts throughout Ontario. He works in all aspects of our firm's litigation and dispute resolution practice, including commercial and civil litigation. Michael further serves our clients in all areas of family law, including divorces, custody and access, spousal and child support, restraining orders, division of family property and collaborative family law.
He obtained his Bachelors of Law degree from the University of Windsor in 2005, where he volunteered his time working with various Legal Aid clinics and working on pro bono student projects. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2006. In addition Michael earned an Honours Bachelors of Science degree in genetics from the University of Western Ontario, as well as certification in the study of writing from the university. Michael is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Hamilton Law Association and the Hamilton/Halton Collaborative Family Practice Group. Michael regularly attends continuing legal education courses and conferences.
Before joining McHugh Mowat, Michael practiced with a well-respected boutique family law firm in the Greater Toronto Area. Michael grew up in North Bay, enjoying sports and working with children with special needs. Michael enjoys camping, fishing, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
