Our Areas of Practice are included in the section. You will see from the list that we cover almost every area of law. The McHugh Mowat advantage is that our clients need one phone number! Our experienced legal staff will direct you to the appropriate department or lawyer and your needs will be met.
Estate Administration
In this area of law there are so many considerations – CPP, Funeral Costs, Life Insurance, perhaps no will, Income Tax, Joint Real Estate, Joint accounts and other assets, Safety Deposit Boxes, Estate Trustee, Automobiles, Creditors, Court (Probate) Application and more. Of course our legal team can make everything rock solid, before the time of death through Estate Planning and Wills, but after death, for many people there are many issues that are unresolved.
Some of the unresolved issues can tear apart families and cause feuds that were never expected. It is very important to be guided by the laws of our country and to have a experienced lawyer to guide the family through the process of administering the estate.
At McHugh Mowat we’ve been doing this for more than a quarter century. We can help you to understand and administer an estate fairly and we can help you to keep peace in the family and circle of friends.
